Oh yeah, totally. The "give them a break, they aren't that bad" positivity brigade is just nauseating, and it's probably coming from people who have never played an instrument in their lives.joostone wrote:This band is so polarising. I keep reading comments that they suck. But also something: 'Hey, atleast they rock and play their guitars loud' or 'much better than those pop crap we had in the last decade'.
Those comments make me almost angry haha. I play in bands aswell and know plenty musicians who are far far better than these guys. They try to sound like Zep, but Bonham, Page and JPJ are all amazing players!
To everyone who thinks this band rocks, please check out Zeppelin influenced bands like: 'Motorpsycho, Mastodon, Boris,Black Mountain or The Sword. All of which deserve more audience than these guys.
Or just listen to many unknown 70s hardrock band like: Mountain, Leafhound, Sir Lord Baltimore, Montrose or Toad. And many others.
All of which are better than this GVF...

does no one else hear that guy's shrilling goat voice when he goes for the high notes? i feel like that alone is enough to completely write this band off. ignore the clothes, the zeppelin rip off, etc. just that one gurgling, glass shattering note.

His voice isn't good. It sounds like plant's but lacks the actual range, subtleties, control, and talent.

Yeah I’m over this band. That was pretty awful if only for the attire. His voice live is annoying as shit.
And that PJ performance was pretty damn solid if you ask me.
