Re: The Running Thread
Take it easy for a couple more weeks, Verb. Then hit it hard. I’d like to take you down on the January leader board before you crush me all year.

During our multiple board kerfuffles yesterday/last night, I forgot to tell you guys that my work just put in an order for a new $3,500 TRUE treadmill.

Jesus, another great run this morning, guestT.
I think you're officially the fastest runner on RM now.
I'm gonna put this smiley here

Re: The Running Thread
Ha! Yeah right. Thanks though. I def feel like I'm getting faster in short bursts. I'm anxious to see how it translates to the longer runs.

Back to back MP runs may not have been the best idea. My legs are trashed.

Re: The Running Thread
Does your plan have regular rest days?
The first 3 weeks of my plan had 2/week, but from here on out it alternates 1 day one week, 2 the next. Running six days/week is uncharted territory for me.

Re: The Running Thread
It does, but I sometimes don't take it.
Also, I don't really stick to the specific days of a plan.
I see it more as a list of runs that I need to do in a week.
So I may do my MP run on Wednesday one week, but Tuesday the next. I also like to occasionally do my long run on Saturday instead of the traditional Sunday.
This week instead of taking Monday off, I threw in an additional MP run.

Ah, gotcha. I tend to treat "the plan" as if it were carried down the mountain by Moses. Bit of a rule follower I guess.

Re: The Running Thread
I think if I was doing some complicated Daniels plans, I'd probably stick to the days more.
But this plan is just a MP run, a speedword day, a long run and 3 or 4 easy runs. It's kinda easy just to switch them around.

Lower back is hurting a bit today. Can’t tell if it’s the running or the riding or just lifting kegs at work. Time to roll some foam.

I was gonna take tomorrow off, but the Adios 4s came in today and they'll be staring at me all day tomorrow.

Go for it.
They make good shoes, but I like narrow shoes so they aren't really for me.

Near freezing temps and damp today. I’m going to get a run in after work but I’m really dreading it.

I saw the same exact ad on my Facebook news feed. I'm crippled for life though, so I just kept scrolling.guestT wrote:Massdrop has Altra Escalantes for $60. Do I dare?

Re: The Running Thread
I think the Adios 4s are better than previous editions.
They feel more responsive and the Torsion System is awesome, the heel to toe transfer is perfect. I also think they've add a bit more Boost material in the heel.
In short, they feel a bit more like Bostons, but are still lighter and more aggressive.
Whether or not they are worth $40 to $60 more than Bostons is another question.
