The Official EELS Thread (For Everybody Awesome)

Post by Simple Torture »

I've never seen Eels live, but I'm going to see them in the end of February.

I love the Eels but I haven't listened to the recent trilogy yet.

I think "Hombre Lobo" is the best out of the most recent three, but honestly I haven't listened to "End Times" or "Tomorrow Morning" as much. I'll be spinning them a lot near the show, though.

Wednesday night! I was supposed to see Eels in the spring of 2008 at a 180-year old church in New Haven, CT, but like 5 days before the show, the city council said they couldn't do a rock show there. So, after a 5-year delay, I'm pumped that I'll finally lose my Eels virginity.

Great show last night! Played most of the songs from the new album, plus plenty of old favorites: Dog-Faced Boy, Souljacker Part I, Flower, Dirty Girl, Trouble With Dreams, Fresh Blood, a My Beloved Monster/Mr. E's Beautiful Blues mash-up...

I'll revive this thread in 3-4 years when I see them again, don't worry!

I need to listen to the new album. There's been a lot of Eels music to digest over the past 5 years or so. Everything through Blinking Lights is just great though (well, maybe not the first record).

i really need to delve deeper into the eels catalogue...ive really only listened to blinking lights, electro shcok blues, and daisies of the galaxy (i remember almost nothing about this one)

but blinking lights will always be special to me
