True, but I think that the excerpt from the "article" (it's a Wiki page on a fandom website, which I think is worth mentioning) that you posted makes a big deal about the raw number of people of color the show has (which has been mentioned in passing, but really hasn't been the thrust of anyone's point in this thread) and about how it's just cleaving to the books when it comes to what is presented on-screen; it also dovetails into a very, very strange bit of whataboutism at the end that I am still scratching my head over. At least Joey and myself have both made the point that we're referring to criticisms of the show that focus on how material is presented versus what is presented, and we're not necessarily condemning or defending the show--just bringing up other complex, difficult, and at times unfamiliar perspectives that have colored how we read it.

I think the full article shows how the books (and the show by mostly following the books), actually turns fantasy on its head, and treats everyone the same. Both men and women can be raped, killed or enslaved, and the rich people are no better than the poor, even if they often judge the poor as worse. In asoiaf it also doesn’t matter what color you are, or if you are a dwarf or have lost your legs.

Jamie raping his sister was a poor decision for the story, but nothing else has been a problem I think.

I agree that there has been a lot of nudity, and most of it from women. There were a fair amount of tits in the first couple of seasons. I’m not bothered by that though, I think nudity should be less frowned upon, certainly people that are simply topless, and there are plenty of topless men as well in the show. Thankfully none of the women I have spoken to about the show, have taken any offense either.

Alright, so we've rewatched through S6. Man, the Arya storyline really doesn't make sense and what the fuck actually happened with Hodor? I'm not sure I really follow any of that.

Certainly no way to please everyone. But there is absolutely a way to tell the entire story. The show has cut some corners and made some unnecessary concessions (some of which hurt the story and make no goddamn sense). I like many of the choices the show has made. But given what they've done, there is absolutely a way to have done it better. Still...

I'm glad I'm going over this show again. I didn't remember A LOT of S6 and I'm guessing the same will be true of 7. It's awesome to get a refresher heading into the home stretch.
