Re: 11th album rumors and speculation
Does anyone fancy making up some legitimate-sounding rumours about the next PJ album with the hope that Alternative Nation publishes an article about it?

Mike McCready has declared PJ11 "our solo-free record. We're going for a punchy, catchy, Ramones kind of thing"

The band is in the preliminary stages of coming to terms with the fact this album will never exist

Yup. Considering their current cycle that might mean the next time they try to do an album they will be in their late 60’s

I think most of the band is ok with them doing more studio work. Its Ed. He seems to be retired from the studio sessions.

Re: 11th album rumors and speculation
Holy shit guys. I bumped into B'OB at the local 99 cent store.
He was buying an unusually large amount of brocoli and 3 massive cucumbers. He seemed quite inebriated, it was 9am, but whatever.
I asked him a few questions. In between slurs and a quick vomit into an open freezer, he told me:
The next album will consist of Ed singing using auto tune, 3 octaves higher than usual.
Matt will play the entire album on bongos and a glockenspiel.
Both Mike and Stone will play duelling banjos.
Jeff is going to do slap bass and play all of the solos.
He described the album as his best production work, and plans to retire on his share of the album sales.
He mentioned a side project by the 4 other members other than Ed. It's called Temple of the Bone. Apparently its a tribute album to their musical roots. He said the best part is that lead vocals will be by Tom Jones.

Re: 11th album rumors and speculation
Ed using autotune on the next record honestly doesn’t seem that far-fetched to me.

Re: 11th album rumors and speculation
I'm certain there's been autotune on PJ albums before

Re: 11th album rumors and speculation
After their very successful collaboration with Jay-Z on 99 Problems, they originally wanted Kanye at the helm. However, the band's manager Kelly Curtis said the political differences between Kanye and Ed would make sharing a control room problemsome. Curtis went on to say that he felt Jeff and Stone had the maturity to focus on the art and leave their political difference with Kanye outside the studio.theplatypus wrote:The band has been in talks with producer Bob Rock

Re: 11th album rumors and speculation
Could we see another Ed solo album?? He is playing with the Who in July. A EU tour is rumoured, could it be for an upcoming solo album?
In the late 70s, early 80s Pete Townshend released some excellent solo-records. He kept his good songs for his solo records, the last two Who records were just not as good.....
Nah, most likely Eddie just want an easy tour without new music. But there are no waves in London....Weird...
