Which is why they should wait to see where the picks in a hypothetical deal are. If they aren't top 5, look for another deal.

Anyone think the Anthony Davis trade is getting made this week?

It would be pretty cool to me if some team with no chance of signing him long term like Milwaukee or Toronto made a go of it to make the playoffs interesting this year.

What about OKC? They have some stars to trade. Be interesting to see Houston go after him too. They really can't win as constituted.

Boston is freaking boring. LA is boring. I mean the Knicks sure, if they get the number 1 pick and get Zion.... that's good for NO, in general though, the NBA needs to retract. There aren't enough really good basketball players right now.

No.

I thought it was supposed to be a really strong draft class? I don't follow that stuff at all really but I thought the general consensus was that last year was weak and this one is strong.

I don't agree with this at all. Don't listen to verb, this might be one of the best, if not the best, collection of players ever in the league. Problem is they're all concentrated in the west and only on a few teams.

I think it's actually the opposite. It's Zion and a crapshoot this season.

Yeah, but name a team in the east outside of Boston anyone WANTS to play for.

Seriously, an entire conference is completely and totally irrelevant. They can't win, they can't get players, they can't hope to even attempt to win.

The Knicks have been bad since Clinton's first term. The Hawks haven't had an interesting star since Dominique Wilkins. The east is abysmal.

I don't disagree that the league is in a great place right now in the west.

That's mostly due to bad management/organizations and undesirable cities. It has little to do with the talent pool in the league.

Look at Detroit, Chicago, New York, Washington, Charlotte, Cleveland etc.. All terrible front offices and/or ownership. The Celtics are good because they have a competent owner, GM, and coach. Same with Toronto. Same with Milwaukee now.

Name a free agent that wants to go to the Celtics who matters? They aren't even in ADs list. Al Horford and Club Foot Hayward dont count.

AD has a list? Also, how many marquee free agents are there per year if players like Hayward and Horford don't count? Maybe 1-3 a year? And they almost always sign with their own team. Miami is considered this free agent hot spot by many, but who have they signed since 2012?

No Superstar has ever chosen Boston. Everyone knows it's a racist town.

AD isn't a free agent right now though. Celtics could still trade for him and try to convince him to stay (ala PG13 in OKC).

I don't remember Kevin Garnett being all that upset he got traded there.

The point is that that team wins a lot of championships as have the Lakers.

Most of the rest of the teams in the Association just kind of exist. I don't really see the point.

Davis supposedly only will re sign with the Lakers. I'm SHOCKED. At least Lonzo will finally have to cut the umbilical cord and figure out how to be a real pro.

Windy said yesterday his list is the Lakers, Knicks, and maybe the Celtics and maybe the Sixers. Other reports say the Celtics aren't on his list, and now rumors that he'll only sign long-term with the Lakers.

Also, all these "reports" that Klay and Kyrie want to go to LA if they get AD are hilarious. Inb4 sources say Kawhi wants to take the minimum to join the Lakers.

I wouldn't be surprised by any of that happening.

Raptors should trade Siakam and stuff to get AD and Kawhi a shot at the warriors in the Finals. Lowe floated the idea on his pod and of course thinks Siakam is prime MJ. They'd lose but you have to take your shot now if you are Toronto.

So, everyone is just kind of guessing at this point?
