The pilot is totally unexceptional. But most pilots are. I'll give it a fair shot soon. My wife and I have both been wanting to get into it forever. The cast is obviously amazing. I respect the hell out of most of those people. And Wendell is one of the most caring, thoughtful, and talented people I've ever met. I got to spend an night with him, eating bbq and playing dominoes and just chatting and he's one of my favorite people. So genuine.

I should watch it.

I'm not saying it's bad. But there is nothing exceptional at all about that first episode. It's like any other cop show out there.

We watched 1.5 seasons and just thought it was generally boring and dated. People obviously love it but i wonder if its something you had to watch at the beginning when it came on.
