I was just singing that bad smiths song.wease wrote:Why today? Was there some sort of deadline today?
Nothin happened today. Nothing will til February 14th when HoC votes again.
May is making yet another utterly pointless trip to Brussels this week. To be told to go home unless she moves her red lines.
It’s looking more and more like crash out is coming.

Re: Brexit
Brexit is a bit like Cork.
It’s shit. Nobody’s happy they’re in it. And somehow they blame Dublin over it

Re: Brexit
We seem to have a lot more soft power/clout in Washington. This is pressure on May especially as it relates to oncoming trade negotiations with the US
https://www.irishtimes.com/news/politic ... -1.3783226A group of prominent Irish-Americans, including former US Special Envoy to Northern Ireland Gary Hart and five former US ambassadors, have written to British prime minister Theresa May and Taoiseach Leo Varadkar expressing alarm the Belfast Agreement could be jeopardised because of Brexit.

Re: Brexit
Tell me again the BBC aren’t biased? (They’ve gone full tabloid. Tusk didn’t actually say this)
Tusk really doesn’t give a shit what the Brits press think

Re: Brexit
So there are no nuclear power stations in Ireland north or south but the Brits are planning on dumping nuclear waste in the north right on the border.
Let them Fucking try it. It’s almost like they’re pushing every way they can towards a border poll

Re: Brexit
Swimmingly.
Ford are leaving. Barclays Aviva and Bank of America are all relocated by to Ireland.
They haven’t sorted out any shipping permits for ships leaving the UK that won’t arrive at their destinations for months nor for haulage networks into and out of Europe.
But they are stockpiling body bags and rubber gloves.
She’s taking it to the last possible moment in order to force the House of Commons to accept the deal. Super dangerous and doomed to fail.
Unless some major miracle happens They are utterly fucked.
