Talking about it like it's speculation and "ooooh what if!" is fun for me. I do that shit all the time.
Reading these articles and going "did you hear what they're doing in 9??!!! It's total bullshit there's a new bad guy and the Knights of Ren fight Kylo and the Emperor is back!" is ludicrous and not fun.

I skim these articles (in case they are right, I want to have some surprises and I don't want every detail) but I take them all with a grain of salt. We just have no idea at this point. Speculation can be fun as hell. But there's such little news right now that everyone is reading the stuff and reacting like it's gospel and that's annoying.
If the Knights of Ren are not in this movie, I'm sure it'll be fine. I don't need them at all. But IF they are going to include them, I hope there's a good reason why they've been absent.
I disagree that 9 needs a "new big bad" to push Kylo and Rey together or even to challenge Kylo Ren. There's a way that CAN be super cool, sure. But I'm fine with Kylo being the big bad and let's all move on.
Point is, there's million ways the story could go and I'm excited to see what happens. I want to see it. I'm going to see it. Freaking out (not saying anyone here is doing this, just the internet and pods at large) about this stuff like it's fact at this stage is exhausting and I hate it.
I just hope its not a convoluted mess with a shit ton of action and explosions.

Me too, friend.
I don't think it will be. I do think the action and the stakes will be high. It's the final chapter of a trilogy. We know the characters by now and this is all about moving forward toward a grand climax. So, that stuff will be amped up, for sure. But I don't think anyone involved (yes, even JJ Abrams) is interested in nothing but action and explosions.
The second piece talks about a mysterious plot device that will drive the plot forward. Apparently, neither side possesses this “delightful but somewhat controversial” MacGuffin, and it may just be the key to ending the war, so they drop everything and pursue its whereabouts. It’s not clear what it is. At a certain point in the movie, all of the major heroes are in one place – the “classic sand planet” (possibly Tatooine) that is represented by the filming in Jordan shoot – after partaking in the war effort throughout the Galaxy Far, Far Away in different ways.
'Member the old GI Joe cartoon and they had like a "movie" where it spanned 4 or 5 episodes. And the one was the one about the weather dominator and different parts of it were in different parts of the world, and GI JOE and Cobra scrambled to these locations to get the pieces before the other side?

Star Wars: The Deathly Hallows
Oh, yes, that would be a newer and more relevant example than my flashback to the 80s
I'm officially hoping for a title reveal with a trailer at Celebration. I don't want to know what it's called until they show the title at the end of the trailer.
