Do you guys actually listen to this stuff outside of church activities?

very rarely...it’s not really my thing, but i do like this stuff way more than christian contemporary stuff you hear on the radio

Despite being an atheist, I love Pedro the Lion, early Starflyer 59 and a couple other "indie" Christian bands (who deal with spirituality in modern times), but this praise shit does nothing for me.

I just started listening recently. And it’s basically just this one group that I like, but there are times that I really enjoy it, if I’m not in the right mood.

It may be. I’m on the fence with capital punishment. I’m only for it in extreme cases and when there is zero doubt about the guilt of the offender.

to this thread, although none of the songs posted really grabbed me. Christian music is very hit and miss for me, but there's been a handful I've loved for years and keep in rotation

Great choice. Before finding Hillsong, Michael W. Smith has always been my favorite Christian artist. I love that song and most of his 80s-90s albums. I grew up with that music.
