If I'm being completely honest, I forgot Pedroia was still on the team.

Question: my brother and I are thinking about seeing the Sox in Oakland at the start of the season. He and I are hoping to pick the game where Chris Sale is likeliest to start. Best chance should be the second game, which is the 6th of the season, right?

Probably, but the beginning of the season is hard to predict. Between off days/people not being ready at the end of spring who knows if they’ll use 5 guys the first time through.

Since there isn't an off day, I highly doubt they would pitch Sale on short rest so early in the season. I would buy tickets to 4/2 and if they give him an extra day's rest (much more likely than short rest), buy a pair of nosebleeds for cheap before the 4/3 game.

4/2 always sounded like the best plan.

I feel like everyone is sleeping on this bullpen looking terrible on paper, but they won last year so whatever.

Even if Kimbrel comes crawling back on a one year, I’m not crazy about this bullpen, but right now it’s pretty scary!
