They already have Chubb, I guess they're going wishbone next year.
Yeah I don't get it outside of the Dorsey connection.
It's gotta be a "long con." Hunt can't play until the NFL investigation is complete. That means, given however long that takes and whatever possible suspension comes from it (probably 4 to 8 games), Kareem Hunt either won't play at all in 2019 or he won't play until late in the season.

Either way, he's cheap. If Chubb gets hurt, Hunt's an insurance policy. If Chubb doesn't get hurt, then Hunt gets to split snaps with him and they can sell whichever one they want at far more than they paid for either. Browns get the better of the two backs and get a big payout for whichever they can unload.

Or... nothing comes of Hunt and his career is over and the Browns move on and are out nothing. It's win/win for the Browns.

The x-factor in all of this is Dorsey, who is known for completely fucking up contracts and driving his team into debt. So, I guess, it's just as likely that Dorsey ends up signing both guys to huge deals and the team has no cap flexibility in three years and he gets fired from Cleveland just like he did from KC.

Duke Johnson should definitely take John Dorsey off the Christmas Card list.

Duke Johnson is welcome in KC. His skill set with Reid's schemes and Mahomes' ability would be fucking awesome to watch.

Goodell is so afraid that he's not going to let NE host the season opener. Ridiculous. Packers-Bears? Really? :haha:

https://www.barstoolsports.com/boston/r ... wonder-why

The NFL is leaning toward having the Bears host the Packers for next season’s opening kickoff game on Thursday, Sept. 5, according to multiple sources. The move would mark the first time since 2006 that the Super Bowl champion will not appear in the league’s opening game. The newly crowned Patriots likely will host the season’s first “Sunday Night Football” game instead, on Sept. 8.

The NFL is leaning toward having Chicago host the season’s first game as part of its 100th season celebration, allowing it to showcase the league’s oldest rivalry. …

The Ravens are the only other Super Bowl champion since 2006 that did not host the league’s opening game the following season. In 2013, the NFL had Baltimore open the season in Denver because of a scheduling conflict with the neighboring Orioles, who also were playing that night.

Despite the fact that Rosen clearly can't be objectively evaluated because of a shit offensive line, shitty coaching and playcalling... I'm not sure they'll be able to pass up the excitement generated by drafting Kyler Murray.

Is there really ANY market for Clay Matthews?

Dude had 3 1/2 sacks last year and averaged LESS THAN 2 tackles a game.

Matthews has been the most overrated player in the NFL for the last 4 years.
