Honestly what does it mean to be ambassadors?
Follow Mike around upstairs at Easy Street with a video camera for 5 minutes and cut the video together with really abrupt transitions? Is that it?

they're cranking up the marketing machine for their next album. first steps into getting into the public eye outside their core fanbase.

I'm sure they wouldnt have signed on for such a thing if it meant they had to get a special release out in the next couple months.
There won't be anything.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Ok serious question: Is metal genre music on vinyl a big deal?
Of all the genres, metal and vinyl doesn’t seem like a fit. Ergo, Metallica as ambassador strikes me as very odd.
I am not a vinyl guy. I’m not deep in the subculture.
And yes I realize Metallica turned pop-rock in 1992 ... just play along ok?

Not sure how popular it is with the genre, but I almost pulled the trigger on a Y&T record at my local store the other day

The Complete Easy Street performance is a cool release. By far, their best RSD release. I hope it gets released on other formats too.

I've only bought one of the vault releases on vinyl, but I'd buy that.

Is the release official, or just speculation?

I’d say just like almost any genre, there’s going to be a following that collects that genres records. But, metal does have a fairly large vinyl fan base. Your general record store typically won’t have a huge metal section, but there are some shops that specialize in it, and there’s a fairly large online community

Cool. Wonder if 1) how many they will press, and 2) will it be available to 10c members?

just reading the Easy Street setlist notes
this is a bummer
Note: "Alone" was on the setlist, but was replaced with "Small Town".
