I think all planned future movies are prequels to episode 9. And yes, ithis is not a tv series, but a series of movies.

All we know is what iger initially said which is it will be a series of films and they asked for a specific period.
That’s all.
People I know are thinking the HBO guy misspoke and it’ll be different films about different characters that tie up by the end.

Either way I doubt they’ve even started it yet. They’re stil working on GOT which releases the very weekend of SW of celebration so it’s doubtful they’ll even be at that.

i'm sure they've talked about ideas but nothing solid yet.

If it isn’t based around the Knights of the old republic or extrapolated from that it’s safe to say well all be shocked.
Everyone to almost unanimity seems to think it’ll be that.

And, for the record, I'd love Dan & Dave to tackle the Old Republic. I just don't think it's a given. There are a lot of things they could be doing and I won't be surprised if all the talking heads are way off and they're doing something totally different. That's all.

I certainly won't be shocked if they ARE doing the Old Republic either, though. It's all on the table as far as I'm concerned.

Theirs are the films I’m not bothered about at all. As we said, no expectations.
That being said I’m pretty sure they’re gonna bring Star Wars to a new level in action at least. I just hope the story is there.

David Benioff is an incredible writer. If you've never read his novels an short stories, I'd HIGHLY recommend them. The dude can write. I trust him with story and character.

I didn’t even know he wrote! I’m just forever hearing about how they fuck up GOT and I’m like, but the series looks awesome. So assuming they’re just working from the source.

Didn’t know he wrote I’ll look it up thanks

He wrote the novel The 25th Hour (which Spike Lee, obviously, later adapted to film) and it's amazing. He also wrote City of Thieves which is also gorgeous. He's a fantastic writer.

So I wonder if the movies will come out in a schedule like this?

D & D Episode 1

Rian Episode 1

D &D Episode 2

etc....
