durdencommatyler wrote:I remember everything about this show. I remember where and when I saw my first episode (the last 15 mins of the S1 finale that they re-aired right before the S2 premiere, which I watched in full). I remember buying S1 and consuming it in days so that I could be ready for S2E2 the following week.

I remember DVRing episodes because I was in Italy on my Honeymoon and then coming home, sleep deprived, and jet-lagged, and staying up eating take out to get caught up on what we'd missed. I remember my internet going out and having to call Optimum to get it fixed minutes before a new ep aired and the rep on the phone thought I was a such a dick because he was trying to be overly polite and I just wanted to get off the phone so I could watch.

The aforementioned Nikki and Paulo ep also involved me having to race to pick up a friend in MO because his car had broken down...

I remember joining one of only 2 other message boards I've ever been a part of to talk about the show. I remember watching every previous season again before the next season started.

LOST was one of the greatest artistic experiences of my life. I adore the holy fuck out of this show. It was such a fantastic experience. I miss the mystery and the drama. I miss having a new episode to look forward to.

Yeah I can't imagine there ever being another TV experience for me like Lost. The countless hours I spent reading about it and discussing it online and in person with friends is so unlike anything else ever. Man I even worked a couple of morning shifts as the opening bartender every week and there was an old lady server and an old man grill cook and we talked about Lost every single shift I worked with them for years. We had virtually nothing in common except that we loved Lost.

My wife and I rewatched it about two years ago and I was terrified that it wasn't going to hold up, but boy did it ever. It's so great. Even with whatever flaws and imperfections there are it's still so fantastic. I can't wait to watch it again in a couple more years. I still had, and have, basically the first 5 seasons memorized and it was still so much fun to revisit.

Motherfuckers, I asked who wanted to do a re-watch on page 1 of this thread FIVE YEARS AGO. (I only got into Season 2 someplace.)

I was reviewing a member's report at work, and the kid's name was Jack. Near the end of the report, the doctor referred to him as "Sawyer." I am convinced this doctor was daydreaming about Lost.

I got hired to make a set of Economics worksheets about a year ago and all of the names I used were Lost characters. One of my favorites was "Desmond and Penny put money into a savings account for Charlie that pays 0.25% interest." (If you're wondering, the students were supposed to identify whether they would benefit or be harmed by unanticipated inflation.)

It’s the only other show that can make a legitimate GOAT claim in my universe.

I’ve not seen a single episode of Lost since it was on the air. The whole thing just once.

Watched the Constant tonight for the first time in probably 10+ years. My goodness, what an incredible, groundbreaking episode of television.

Force of Nature came on my shuffle on the drive to work today and now I am thinking about the Constant again. What a perfect song to complement it.

I'm considering a rewatch after I finish Breaking Bad. It's been so long that my memory of a lot of it (especially the ending, apparently!) is pretty fuzzy.
