I thought her concern was coming into town was a multi-billion dollar company that will fail to provide any tax revenue to the city from their coffers.
Having lived very close to LIC for a number of years (Astoria, Upper East, Jamaica Queens), it is a neighborhood with a lot of socio-economic diversity that has just had many luxury apartments built in the past 15-20 years. She could also be concerned with pushing out the working class people who still live there. I am not 100% sure where the Amazon building structure was going to go.
