Are you going to try for all of the Koruks?

Re: Zelda Games
If you have all the Zelda sets (i.e. Twilight, Time, etc.) Star Fragments become a major bottleneck.cutuphalfdead wrote:but right now i'm working on getting all the various armor sets complete and upgraded to the max

You need amiibos for those right? Probably won't be happening for me.CopperTom wrote:If you have all the Zelda sets (i.e. Twilight, Time, etc.) Star Fragments become a major bottleneck.cutuphalfdead wrote:but right now i'm working on getting all the various armor sets complete and upgraded to the max

Getting the courser bee honey for the second upgrades is a much bigger pain in the ass than getting the dragon claws.cutuphalfdead wrote:Just completed all 120 shrines in BotW and got the Armor of the Wild set.

Re: Zelda Games
Thanks for the nudge. Bought it today and though I only had time for the Deku tree, I’m already in love with the graphics and control scheme.Monkey_Driven wrote:I'd recommend the 3DS version. Seems to be the best version.daft twat wrote:Anyone played the 3ds versions of Ocarina or Majora?
I think I might treat myself. A friend has my old n64. I have Ocarina for GameCube, and I have both on my hacked Wii U. I played Ocarina for 10 minutes on it last night and wasn’t enjoying the controls. I’m not worried about being a purist. I will definitely be playing the HD updates of Wind Waker and Twilight Princess when they’re up.

Great. I've really been enjoying your reviews of each game. Hope you don't get too burned out.daft twat wrote:Thanks for the nudge. Re: Zelda Games
You know, this thread got me to replay the first Zelda a few weeks ago. I made it through the first 3 dungeons and then thought, "Yeah, I'm good."daft twat wrote:I know. Prior to starting this, I would have said 4) Zelda II 3) Link’s Awakening 2) The original 1) Link to the Past. Once I got past the initial nostalgia of the original, I was shocked by how little I was enjoying the experience. And after playing and loving Link to the Past again, I was equally as shocked that I was not only not burnt out with the gameplay style, but I was actually having more fun.CopperTom wrote:Such an odd ranking of the four games that you’ve played. But almost all Zelda games are truly top-notch games that rank among the best games on the system they were released, so I get it.

I fully plan to play A Link to the Past for the very first time after I finish my second playthrough of Resident Evil 2.

Re: Zelda Games
There's worse items you'll need to farm than that. The yellow beetle sucked big time. I think if you set the item you are farming as your target (replace the shrines), it helps spawn rates.cutuphalfdead wrote:Getting the courser bee honey for the second upgrades is a much bigger pain in the ass than getting the dragon claws.cutuphalfdead wrote:Just completed all 120 shrines in BotW and got the Armor of the Wild set.

Yeah that's next. I have one but forgot to take a picture first so I can't even use my sheikah sensor to help find more. And if I hold and drop it to take the picture it just flies away.CopperTom wrote:There's worse items you'll need to farm than that. The yellow beetle sucked big time. Re: Zelda Games
I jumped back in to BoW. I never knew there are Hinox Medals, Talus Medals and Maldruga Medals until recently. After that, I'll only be missing a few upgraded items and 350 Koruks.

After you beat Ganon, talk to Kilton, ask about monsters. If you beat them all, you'll get a Medal. There are 40 Hinoxes, 40 Taluses, and 4 Maldrugas.cutuphalfdead wrote:Wait, what?

You get a star next to your save file - that means you beat Ganon. In the game itself, it's like you never beat him, but you actually did.cutuphalfdead wrote:After you beat Ganon you can't go back into the game though.CopperTom wrote:After you beat Ganon, talk to Kilton, ask about monsters.
