It's also the nature of the board having existed for a long time; people have developed friendships and camaraderie with other RM posters (and the Pearl Jam discussion is only one aspect of this place, perhaps not even the dominant aspect) and so it doesn't seem unusual to me that they'd continue to hang around, even once the initial reason they came here has fallen away.
This.

When we all first came here, we were still fans. It isn't like this place was founded on hating on Pearl Jam.

I mean, it's not rocket science really. I sense some butthurt.

I guess that's the weird part...if I didn't like any band anymore I'm kinda done with following their every move and having discussions about their music (that I no longer like anyway). Seems like a huge waste of time/energy, especially for a band that's been around as long as PJ.

:haha: :haha: :haha: Pearl Jam has always been the grunge Bon Jovi but you're only embarrassed about them now? Let's not pretend they were auters unless you guys rate songs like Glorified G and Leash :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha:
Sounds like you could use some Bon Jovi in your life.

I goddamn love Pearl Jam.

If they never release another album, I'll be fine with it. It's been a hell of a ride.

But.... guys... I want another album.

cull the fan base, then release the music you want. that's the path they need.

Maybe, maybe not. Just don't hit me over the head with meandering, inconsequential, uninteresting, and lazy schlock like Foldback, Thunderclap and Harmony, please.

You want to do an instrumental album? Great! But fucking still write good songs, y'know?

If everyone but Ed is really itching to make new music, then the four of them should just do it. Release an album under a different name. Have either Stone or Jeff handle all lead vocals, or get guest vocalists and just make new music. If it's good, no one will care that it isn't called Pearl Jam.

The hilarity of this statement is that some of you guys are the ones who were "culled" by Backspacer, but you just couldn't handle it. Butthurt, alright.
