He is great for a SNL spoof about a really awful biopic about Queen.

wat

Just reading twitter all day and the reaction from the black community and notable black directors and writers and they are not fuckin happy green book won.
Which makes total sense to me. I think it's win is stupid, too.

Have you seen it?
I liked it more than the rest. Except maybe the favourite
To be totally fair, I haven't. But based on the trailer, I totally have. If you know what I mean.

I just don't have any use for those women out tropes. It looks so bad. But I love the cast. I'll watch it for the performers, I'm sure. One day.

There was nothing else to choose since 2018 was a cinematic wasteland

Buster Scruggs and The Mule could have gotten more love but I wouldn’t expect the Academy to acknowledge them

Watch it.
I love him as an actor. One day I'll watch it just for his performance. But I'm in no hurry.
One of the best parts of the movie is how they also managed to capture what its like to be a fan of a band. beautiful.
And Live Aid was really beautiful. Showed what an amazing band Queen was live.

I thought BlackkKlansman and The Favourite were both excellent films.

But my two favorites films of the year weren't even nominated. So... yeah.

I would have voted for BlackkKlansman given the field. But I also haven't seen a few of them yet.

Was The Mule really all that interesting? It looked like the worst.

Rank the best film winners you’ve never seen.

Rank the best film nominees that didn’t win, that youve never seen.*

*his would be a pretty extensive lengthy list. Impressive even.

LV has seen more movies already than I'll likely ever see in my entire life. Even if he stopped right now, he'd still have me beat by the time I died. I don't typically share his tastes but the dude has cred and knows what he's talking about, dime.

I didn’t mention him in that post at all?

I was thinking about all the films that’s won and haven’t won, that I haven’t seen
Then thought rm likes ranking things. This could be an idea.

I didn’t mention him at all. Where did you pull that from?

The love that movie got makes me think there's some kind of fix in on it. Just mind boggling.
How so? Malek is amazing in it. Rather, it doesn’t seem highly appreciated around here. Perhaps Queen was a lot more influential in Europe?
It won SO many awards and I don't know a single person who liked the movie.

Rami's was the only award it earned that didn't feel purchased.

Again, I haven't seen it. Maybe it's awesome. But the couple of 2/3 min clip/scenes that I've seen are awful.

But I'm kinda taking out of my ass here. I need to see it before I give it too much shit.
Not one person that liked the movie? That’s insane. Must be a country/region/continent thing then. I haven’t met a single person that didn’t like it, and most loved it.

You and Strat are the closest I've come. You guys liked it. The world is a weird place.
My parents loved it, but they have awful taste in movies.
