I've done a lot of reading on the prior cases and I've long maintained that the evidence shows that Jackson was innocent (of everything other than being very weird, very naive, and very creepily obsessed with childhood), and was just surrounded by shitty people who wanted to take his money. This new information may show me otherwise, but I haven't watched the doc yet
I've followed it a bit. It does not look good for him.

All fair critiques. These types of allegations are always so tricky.

What's all the hoopla? I thought it was an established fact that MJ diddled little kids.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Suing for $1 billion and having it thrown out of court, *after* testifying under oath that Jackson was innocent and never touched him..

Anyone buying into whatever this film is selling (which only speaks to these two, no other supposed victim) needs to read past the headlines and do some reading up. On Robson in particular.

Without digging deep into each individual case, my creep radar gets louder as the number of allegations go up.

My guess is that Michael Jackson the person will not be looked upon well in the future, and his music could be an important lesson of need to separate the art from the artist.

Number of allegations, each in civil cases and all looking for money, rather than justice.

And?

In civil cases, you can't throw people in jail, or impose other blanket restrictions on their liberties. You're pretty much limited to pursuing monetary relief, or perhaps limited injunctive relief against who you're suing that applies only to you.

Criminal cases, meanwhile, rightfully have a high bar to cross--hence why he was acquitted in the one that he was charged with, while not being charged in other cases. But lack of that does not necessarily mean that there was no wrongdoing on his part.

My point was why didn’t this guy or the other two cases go for a criminal case? None did.
He tried to sue for $1 billion. And failed.
That tells its own story. But his history seems easily taken apart and his objectives are suspect at best. In light of his previous testimony supporting Jackson and his failed career and endeavours to row back on all his previous positions.

It stinks to high heaven.

Bill Cosby vows 'no remorse', even if he sits in prison for 10 years

Cosby also said he has "no remorse" and never will, and compared himself to the likes of Martin Luther King, Jr., Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela and other "political prisoners".

"My political beliefs, my actions of trying to humanise all races, genders and religions landed me in this place surrounded by barb-wire fencing, a room made of steel and iron," Cosby later added in a statement about his prison experience so far.

"I really enjoy sandwiches but the other guys are so good at making sandwiches that I don't make them. Now I make sandwiches."

This surprises me very little.

Seems pretty consistent with his attitude/personality that's been rumored and reported on for years.

The conviction of George Pell for sexual assault has finally had the suppression order lifted here in Victoria. He was once the third highest ranking official at the Vatican and touted as a potential pope.

I went to Catholic school in Melbourne and have several friends who knew him directly through the Catholic community here. The man was always an arrogant cunt.

This sentence made me laughed.
Pell’s conviction and likely imprisonment will cause shockwaves through a global Catholic congregation and is a blow to Francis’s efforts to get a grip on sexual abuse.
The world and the "global Catholic congregation" are so numb to priest abuse at this point. Short of the pope himself being caught on camera buttfucking a little boy, I don't think anything will "send shockwaves."

I don't know, I read something about how all of this being in the news was shaking up faith in the church. But maybe that was more of a wishful thinking article from the author?
