This is a great matchup. Two similar songs, and two greater performances from the original period of each. The Brain of J performance is almost a note perfect translation of the studio track. Once has a more ragged and desperate energy, losing the polish that is on most of the Ten studio tracks. While I prefer BoJ as a studio track, I think I like this live version of Once a little bit more just because it transforms the song a little bit more into something that is a new, live creation. But these are both great

Crazy enough, I agree with stip too! Both great songs. Studio BoJ is definitely better than Once. Both are great live. This version of Once just edges out the victory.
