I find the main books to be bloated and a chore for the most part.

Re: A Song Of Ice and Fire (Spoilers for all Published Books
On whether JonCon knows R+L=J
Connington's entire motivation is based on his unrequited romantic love for Rhaegar. Everything he's doing for Young Griff is out of the shame in failing the love of his life. If he was aware that there was another son of Rhaegar he could be fighting for, I think it changes a lot about Connington as we know him in ADWD. Even if his exile to Essos doesn't allow him to change his actions from what he's doing in Dance we still have his inner monologue. He'd know that Aegon wasn't really the last chance at restoring Rhaegar's heir to the Iron Throne and I think that would drastically alter the way he feels about everything he's doing, for better or worse.

Rewatching the show: Robb takes the Crag, seat of house Westerling. They easily could’ve kept the Jeyne character and made Robb die because of honor

I'm diving into theories on the Prophecy of the Valonqar.
It's gonna be Arya isn't it?

At least in the show.
I did see a WONDERFULLY tinfoil theory that it's gonna be Lady Stoneheart. And I goddamn LOVE that, too. It would be fucking perfect in the books. But since there is not LS in the show, it has to be Arya.

maybe he'll be hand of the king at that point and use his chain, which is made of golden hands
or maybe prophecy isn't always completely literal
i just think thematically jaime makes the most sense

I love Arya, but it would be a bit disappointing. Better if it is Jamie.

I like the cut of your jib, buddy. But I think Arya also makes a ton of sense. Especially given all the other "clues."cutuphalfdead wrote:maybe he'll be hand of the king at that point and use his chain, which is made of golden hands

Jamie certainly does make thematic sense, though. But I just feel like so does Arya (especially in the show). And I wonder if it would be out of character for Jamie.

Jamie as Azhor Ahai would make the most sense; plunging his sword into the heart of the one he loved tempered the steel that forged Lightbringer and ended the long night.durdencommatyler wrote:Jamie certainly does make thematic sense, though. Jaime is the Valonqar.
Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen are both Azor Ahai. Their's is the song of ice and fire.

Interesting take: https://www.reddit.com/r/asoiaf/comment ... is_a_meta/
(f)Aegon's storyline as a meta critique of what Jon Snow's storyline would have felt like had GRRM not abandoned the five year gap.
