Maybe it's because I'm IN this tourney, so I'm looking at everyone as competition and not just voting, but I feel like these teams are all really strong. Maybe, as a whole, stronger than the last round of teams.

I can't see a clear winner/loser here. I'm just not sure how this thing is gonna go.

Yea, I feel the same. I'm stoked that, as of right now, I've managed to pretty much tell the story/theme that I originally planned for. You could call it a PJ rock opera of sorts
I'm really excited to hear the playlists of those who had a theme/story in mind from the beginning. I did not. I'm just grabbing songs. As it's gone on I've passed on songs I like more in favor of songs I think will sound better surrounded by the others on my team. But I don't have a theme/mood/story in mind.

If I had known people were going to put stock in how the tracks jive with one another I wouldn't have taken solat, even though that's one if my favorites.

Ya, the flow of the album is going to influence my voting a lot.

It's so subjective. Not everyone likes the same kinda flow. I find I tend to be almost the exact opposite of posters here when it comes to flow. For example, so many people loved the way Jorge's list flowed together, but I found it really odd and forced. It didn't flow well for me at all. But he still had a great team of songs, so I didn't really hold it against him. Besides, everyone disagreed with me.

In the last tourney, I just voted in the first round based on the tracks each team had. It was easier to identify which teams were stacked. But in the later rounds, where all the teams were strong, I had to pay a lot more attention to the flow/feel/vibe of the mix in order to figure out who to vote for. With this tourney, I'll probably be doing that right from the start.

Yea agreed. And with Jorge's team I gave him the benefit of the doubt because I saw what he was going for even if the later rounds may have derailed him a bit. If someone happens to have a few of your personal favorites, it's pretty hard to vote against them.

How many times can you bring up that you didn't like my team? This mention puts you in the double digits I think.

Wow, Jorge. I just looked at your team and it's fantastic. Let Me Sleep is the only track I don't love. The rest are beautiful. Nice picks, man!

I built something beautiful, and durden's scathing words of hate won't change that.

Chud said this earlier, but matching eras helps a bit. Once I became really top heavy with early 90s it made some sense to continue I that vein.

I had an idea I loved but lost some necessary songs. Depending o round 10 I may still try for the story, rather than the best random playlist

Stip I think Reign Over Me is going to be a really important piece of my "album". I really love this song.

How will that work coming back to him? Does he just get his pick at the very end of the tournament?

Nah, if you are skipped you go as soon as you are back. It is not supposed to be a penalty. Just a desire to keep things moving, which is why we have the 8 hour limit
