You don't like Low Light, and you don't like Binaural. I, I, I don't know what to post. So nothing on Binaural tickles your fancy? Rival? Insignificance? What about the outtakes? Anyway, I stand by what I posted...Jack would have done wonders on Binaural. Especially on tunes like: Of The Girl, Parting Ways, Rival, Thin Air, and Light Years.

Water Song (w Mr. Gossard) /Sulhiana/Ocean's Light/Outer Space Dream/Sonic Tonic/Doubloons/Moon Tune/Breaking Sea/Dunes (with Mr. Ament)/EarthQuake and Don't Sock Me are my favourites.

Jack's solo records are totally to my taste, which there's no accounting for, but I feel these discs reach a really high level of musicianship.

As for his Pearl Jam days, I love the Yield/No Code era cuts live and in studio, but watching the clip in this thread of 'Deep' is telling about how his live sound was unlike what they were going for with the Ten/Vs era live show.

Lastly, I think Cameron is amazing and a warrior live, who has contributed to some of their finest recordings, but Jack did have a sound at least in the studio that is simply unique and irreplaceable.

Good point. Never really thought of it but to my mind he would have given a bit more swing to Rival and Education. Added a nice pattern to Parting Ways. That might be it.
