I recently saw Us in a great movie theatre and next week we have a cool Movie Festival here..Im just stoked to see them in a movie theatre.

It made Us so much better. ( OMG THAT LINE HAS TWO MEANINGS LIKE THE MOVIE)

well, im not sure yet but im guessing a few... The only one i know im going is Claudia, but because im a good friend of the director and i was involved in the first stages of the movie with a short film he did and with the music...But after that i guess the new Rick Alverson movie for sure.

When I went to see Us, some guy sat in the seat right next to me even though there were plenty of open seats. His nose whistled the whole time. I’m very much okay with things going straight to Netflix.

That guy sucks, but you could have gotten up and sat elsewhere. It's a drag to have to do that but it also sends a message

It’s all reserved seating that you buy in advance, so it’s not quite that simple.

Seems foreign crowds suck!!

Yeah, I can only speak for American audiences, but they absolutely suck in my experience. I enjoy the ritual of going to a theater but I really wish I could be the only one in the audience every time.

My first ever job was working in a brand new cineplex. I remember the day before opening sitting all alone in the biggest screen as they played Braveheart to test the projector.
It was so cool.

On a somewhat related note, I do not consider Ohio the Midwest. If you are in the Eastern timezone, you are not mid or west.

Well beyond that. Deeper divisions. Always chuckle when people say America is a melting pot. It really isn’t. It’s totally tribal. And hardened. Italians Irish blacks Jews. It never really blended at all. Everyone is fiercely committed to their tribe and ancestry. The fear of the other.
That’s kinda the root of all the problems imo
