Yeah, it makes sense. The road to a sub-2 hour marathon is paved with the skulls of 6-year-old factory workers.

Maybe it's from jumping into 13 milers after little to no mileage for a long time?

Not to be a dick, but that post was total BS, right?

I mean, you can't go from nothing to a manual entry of 13 miles.

Yeah, I wish I had kept each of those half m's to maybe 17km instead. But I am happy I pushed it. I think I only need to tweak my strat a little. I'm gonna go again tonight after doing a short run this morning.

I feel that with a little luck I can push past you this season in distance per week, although I'm not sure I can match your pace. I think you will be the one needing to fabricate your scores.

The same thing crossed my mind but I view the Strava group as a land of peace, so I let it be.

My elite AZ ultra friends don't throw down 13 miles after emerging from summer hibernation.

Maybe dev is just a golden god?

You guys are kind of annoying me.

What would I get out of lying to you?

Do you think that would validate me in any way?

Do you think I am threatened by you in any way?

Let me be perfectly clear since you guys are so interested in this. I want you to have the full truth before you hurt yourselves.

I have been running at a minimum once every few weeks during the winter although those runs were usually only 5km. I have also been skating massive amounts of kms and have been pretty vocal about that. I was skating near 90km a week by the end of the winter. Maybe more. I imagine this has been a huge benefit.

PS. I just got out for my second run today. I have some pretty brutal injuries but I am still getting after it.

PSS I'm wishing you all the best this season.

Who are you calling soft?

You ran like 400 miles in 2018. That's like a month for some of my friends.

I think I am taking this wrong. If I am putting up stats that are true, and you guys cannot believe them, then I should clearly be flattered.

For the record the skating thing makes your entry believable to me. I hadn't taken that into consideration.

That's true.

I cross-country skied in Door County for a month and my legs were fucking tanks.

Endurance was good, but my speed was shit. It basically took me 3 months to get my speed back.

Maybe Dev isn't full of shit.

Although, I still say it kinda goes against Strava etiquette to drop something like that after a long period of inactivity.

I'm fine with you losing respect for me.

That really doesn't affect me in the slightest.
