Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
I can't imagine wanting to deal with other humans online in this, that'd be awful.
I still haven't finished chapter 2 - but only because I'm too busy doing my own thing. Think I'm going to start pushing forward now so I can finish it up and get to the rest of my gaming backlog.

I want to play with a buddy and have new missions to play in the world. Not sure how much versus stuff I will ever do.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
Have to say I agree; I'll definitely be playing through a second time and likely moving a lot faster now that there's no learning curve and easy distractions. That said, I still have a shit ton of side missions/activities I haven't touched yet. Been purposely dragging this out cause I hate to see it end and I unfortunately know how the main story's going to end.....dammitmf wrote:I finished my 2nd play through yesterday and god damn if i wasn't almost compelled to go for a third. Seriously one of the best made video games of all time IMO.

I don't remember shit about rdr1 except that you're john.. I kinda remember blackwater being in as well.. I'm gonna Google the synopsis when I beat 2 so I can put together how they flow into each other

Thank god I'm done ep 1.. I get how it's necessary for the story but those missions were brutal

Yeah it kinda sucks spending the first half dozen hours of your epic cowboy sandbox game hamstrung to a linear story with minimal exploration. It’s still a million times better than the opening to MGSV though.i got bugs wrote:Thank god I'm done ep 1.. I get how it's necessary for the story but those missions were brutal

It is vital for meeting and understanding the gang however.mf wrote:Yeah it kinda sucks spending the first half dozen hours of your epic cowboy sandbox game hamstrung to a linear story with minimal exploration. Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
It absolutely is. To be honest it actually is a well crafted opening/tutorial section. It teaches you the systems and mechanics well and introduces the gang well. The problem is that all you want to do as soon as you get control is to go exploring, but the game (justifiably) just forces you to wait a bit for some character agency.Monkey_Driven wrote:It is vital for meeting and understanding the gang however.mf wrote:Yeah it kinda sucks spending the first half dozen hours of your epic cowboy sandbox game hamstrung to a linear story with minimal exploration. Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
No I meant epilogue 1.. 2 is slightly less brutal but this needs to end
I just wanna play the end showdown already so I can read the synopsis from rdr1 to put it all together
Seems like I'm gonna head to Mexico at some point because I see the map trails down that way..
No spoilers but I think I kinda see how this is playing out

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
Oh ok sorry. The end of epilogue 2 is worth it and it will absolutely make you want to play rdr1. There’s plenty of synopses on YouTube if you want to watch but you should try to play it if you can.
I don’t think that anybody would argue that many of those epilogue missions are fun in the traditional sense, but they do so much in establishing John marsten as an empathetic characters that they shouldn’t be tedious to anyone invested in the story.

Yeah I get the point of em, but if I wanted to do chores I'd just do them in real life
I probably won't have the time to play it over (it's been years since I beat it) with mk coming out, but I'll Def YouTube
