Ed can take a break, the name "Pearl Jam" will have more recognition with a younger generation, and Ed can step back in afterward into a situation where he did zero work for maximum gain, which is apparently how he operates these days.

Yeah, I make fun of this album's process at times. But I can also understand why the band ( Or Ed) has difficulty to get emotional involved in this upcoming record. Since it has been a emotional rough time for the band the last couple of years. Sure a record should have been released by now, but the fact remains that after the death of Cornell Ed's own brother died and today Stone Gossard's friend and collaborator Shawn Smith died. And who know's what else is happening in their lives
