I do not enjoy quinoa. My wife loves it though.

You can load it with herbs, feta, ground bison, lots of stuff.

But the ethics of your being a relatively privileged white man with easy access to quinoa are pretty messed up too.

Farro has made it onto my regular grocery list since we spoke about it. I made a picnic the other day and had plenty of berries left over, so I threw them in a bowl of farro the next morning with brown sugar. The stuff is amazing.

I've also really been into capers lately. I'll throw some of that on a salad with feta and have no need for a dressing. (I've never really needed a dressing anyway, preferring oil or lemon juice most of the time.)

Yea, we switched to farro when we realized that we didn't really like quinoa, and that even if we did, our purchase of it was having a really bad impact on a population that had subsisted on it for generations.
