Global quinoa consumption as a fad food is making it harder to obtain in Ecuador, where it's part of traditional culture.

Yea, we switched to farro when we realized that we didn't really like quinoa, and that even if we did, our purchase of it was having a really bad impact on a population that had subsisted on it for generations.
