Someone floated the idea that this will have a strong influence from "The King of Comedy," and I'm pretty into that.

I take it back. Everyone on ChiefsPlanet thinks this trailer is awesome and looks great. It will therefore be a terrible film. Sorry, team.

If you use an origin story as a means to explore different themes or tones or emotional spaces -- which is what a good filmmaker should be trying to do, and what this film looks like it's trying to do -- then it shouldn't matter that it's an origin story. The story doesn't have to be the point.

I think this looks good. I'm looking forward to it.

I just like my bad guys to be mysterious and I prefer the Joker to be an unreliable narrator when discussing his history. That said I'm capable of putting away my preferences and allow a filmmaker to take me on their journey. I'm looking forward to it too.
yeah, i thought part of what defines the joker character is his origin story is completely unknown

I'll be very happy at the end if there is a voice over of Joker laughing and saying none of it really happened that way.

I have to imagine they're going to do SOMETHING that makes the story unreliable to some degree.

People take this shit too seriously. I don't look at it as some kind of definitive origin story. It's just a story. Who cares?
