It's FUCKING BANANAS!!!!

In a rational world, there's no way this shit could possibly be true. And yet it is. It's absolutely insane. Every 20 minutes you're like "WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK????!!! NO WAY!!!!!!!" But it's all true.

I use a Western Digital Live to stream video in my living room so in checking to see if there is a Netflix app (there is) I had a chuckle seeing this on the Netflix support site:

If you wish to start over and/or sign in with a different email address at any point during this process, enter the following sequence using the arrow keys on your controller:

Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up

The story is insane. The documentary itself is kind of bland and dry, but the sheer nuttiness of the story will keep you interested.

Those parents are just the worst people

yeah, my take away from that abducted in plain sight was that the parents are just super, super naive and borderline challenged

No one else watching the Love, Death & Robots show?

you watch the aquila rift one yet?
Finally got to in my my line-up (apparently there are four different versions?) and it was...alright. Like, I've seen better CGI sex on redtube kind of alright. I had to think about the story a bit for some of it to make sense (she was only in his head, hence the one chick freaking out) but otherwise it was just alright.

The yogurt one was better as an audiobook, and they shortened a short story even further for some reason which was bonkers. The one topless chick was hilarious though, seeing that animation choice used for a topless protester. Made me chuckle.

I watched the first season, albeit at the brewery on mute thus captioned, but even then I found it quite engaging. A friend noted that the sound effects are a large factor of the overall tone as well so I will definitely watch it properly before starting season two.

Started this last night and thoroughly enjoyed Sonnie's Edge, looking forward to the others.

Yeah, the Pokemon-ness of the fight was pretty unique. Which is an odd sentence.

Speaking of Bebop, apparently Netflix cast John Cho as Spike. Terrible choice.

Finally finished Love Death + Robots. Three really good episodes and then several competent ones (the Yogurt story is that high because of the short story I read versus the adaptation) and some duds. I would have liked Aquila Rift and Alternate Histories if they hadn't gone so hard on the "this is rated M so let's go bro!" bullshit. Rift was a weird sex game right up until the sci-fi reveal - was was kind of cool - but the sex game part was off-putting. And Alternate Histories was a very strange art style to go that hard on the sex aspect of the story.

Ranking:

Three Robots
Sonnie's Edge
Shape-Shifters
Suits
Secret War
When the Yogurt Took Over
Lucky 13
Helping Hand
The Witness
The Dump
Ice Age
Blindspot
Fish Night
Zima Blue
Beyond the Aquila Rift
Alternate Histories
Good Hunting
Sucker of Souls

Three Robots was great, especially having just recently played Exploding Kittens; hopefully going to sit down for one or two more tonight.

Just watched Love Death + Robots myself. My ranking is very different. Hated “Three Robots” a lot.

Wow, no kidding. Knowing what I know about your tastes, I can see why you liked some more than others. I don't get the Three Robots hate though, but I do know that you wouldn't like John Scalzi's books since you disliked all of his stories. :)

Oh god you're not kidding. Absolutely hated the comedic sensibilities in those segments. They felt very contemporary-little-kid-cartoon to me. "Alternate Histories" is insanely terrible.

I would say I liked everything I ranked above "Ice Age". From that one and below it gets dicey for me.
