Would have worked perfectly fine if they just made it that he really was in his real life, not showing that stupid top at the cut. They should have ended it when him and Watanabe's character woke up on the plane

The cult of Alita fans is really hilarious; they are living in a world of pure delusion.
There is no doubt in my mind that in 30 years Alita will still be talked about as the historic Blade Runners and Matrix movies are today.

Naysayer:
If they had gone with normal (better looking) eyes, they wouldn't have needed to do mo-cap at all, just arms and legs CG replacement for certain shots like the movie Ex Machina. That had very realistic effects and they cost a fraction compared to this movie.

Heck, they might have even made a profit without all the mo-cap since their budget wouldn't have been so bloated.

Get me out of here.
Did somebody call her a stupid bitch? I hope so.
They are trying to figure out who Bill Paxton is again today, this time discussing Big Love.

Discussing Jack Nicholson:

"What was that movie where he was the clown?"
"The Shining."
"Ah, you're right."

I’ll try to be patient while they build up their library but the current selection on Criterion Channel is real weak

I am so fucking sick of hearing people talk about David Lynch. My eyes glaze over as soon as I hear that name dropped these days. He’s become such a basic and lazy point of reference in the last few years. Any movie that’s even remotely surreal or arty or odd seems to inevitably be dubbed “Lynchian.” There were other fucking filmmakers that came before him; he doesn’t own cinematic weirdness.

David Lynch is a cinematic genius. Modern-day movie making owes everything to him.
Let me tell you, Homer Simpson is cock of nothing!

Agree with LV. I find him to be overrated, but I'm hopeful that one day it'll click for me.

I believe Lynch would agree with you, this is far more a failing of the audience, critics, etc. than an actual gauge of Lynch's work or abilities.
