Are PJ Lyrics Smart?

I used to think so, when I was a child. Now, they seem kinda amateurish.

I was more enthralled with their lyrics when I was a kid, and they probably won't be teaching Pearl Jam lyrics in Literature class at Harvard anytime soon. But when you combine the lyrics with the music, I do think Pearl Jam has created some magical songs, and the lyrics are an important part of that. I also agree with surfndestroy.
