you realize I’ve been a tigers fan since before you were born right?

I thought about interjecting but I didn't want to be wrong. I wasn't sure if the Tigers were your AL team and the Cubs your overall team.
I've been born and bred a Tigers fan, being from Michigan. I started being a Cubs fan at about 5-6 years old; my grandfather was from Milwaukee, and when he lived there they didn't have the Brewers and so he watched a lot of Cubs games on WGN. When they moved to Michigan, he could still watch them. And so he and I would always watch the Cubs when we were "up north" (skitch will get that) where we couldn't watch the Tigers because we couldn't get PASS (skitch will get that one too). Because the Tigers and Cubs never played each other, it wasn't an issue. That is until 1984. We had tickets to games 1 and 2 of the World Series that were never played because the Cubs, although being up 2 games to none, decided to botch game 3 and go ahead to lose the NLCS. And so the Tigers hosted games 3-5 instead, and I didn't go.

When i moved to Chicago, i was able to get a partial season ticket plan to the Cubs (back when they still sold them and they were "affordable"). I held on to those tickets until about 2014 after we moved to the burbs and it became impossible to go to or sell tickets to the games. I still was able to make every home playoff game in 2015-2017 though and still saved money.

If the Tigers ever play the Cubs, I will always root for the Tigers. But that's usually only 3 games every 3 years.

Screw you Pete.

You're allowed two teams. Your childhood team and the local team where you now live. I don't know anyone who cheers against their childhood team. That shit is just etched in our souls.
Think I’m going to try being kind to everyone a chance.

Wth is up with that Ozzie Albies contract?

7 years / $35m, with 2 team-options years at the end (so could be 9/$45m)

I really hate when they are playing good and have a west coast trip. Seems like they almost always just fall flat out there.
doug rr wrote:he's going to be more famous than the mendoza line
The Mendoza line really should be the Uecker line, since hes made a career out of making fun of his hitting abilities AND, has a career avg of .200
