I've had this ready to go in the car since it came out but haven't listened yet. Since that time I've only managed to revisit Dirt.

Sap! Alicemudgarden is my favourite band and that secret song is unbelievable. Layne's showpiece on that one about 'Miles below himself' is one of his many awesome moments.

Jar of Flies is one of my lifetime best of albums. Rotten Apple!!!

both of them are masterpieces and they showed how well they balanced from the heavy material to those quiet acoustic numbers.
And yeah, Right Turn is such a great song...i was listening to it the other day and couldnt believe how talented all those guys are.

They really did do heavy incredibly well and mellow with equal success. In regards to the last song off Sap, I find if you listen to Staley's vocal track only, it is a really cool recording (if you are a fan!)

The Rock in rio setlist is promising and Duvall´s voice is pretty good....

So I gather the AIC comeback hasn't gone all that well so far...

I was really rooting for it, especially since I liked JC as a song writer and had no beef with them replacing Layne. But they feel like Cantrell solo records, and that's not a good thing. They remembered the sludge, but it's too heavy and there isn't enough beauty in it

They seem to have completely axed the acoustic guitar as well? I don't know a great deal about AIC, but I seem to remember their music was *thicker* for often having both types of guitar.

I've heard all the popular tracks off it, I'm sure, but not the whole album all the way through. They were never my favourite side of grunge but Sarah loved them.
