Put a roast in the crock pot with a 2-liter of Dr Pepper and a half can of crushed pineapple, let it cook over night. In the morning I put it in the mixer (use the dough hook in your stand mixer to shred meat quickly) and then put that back in the crock pot to cook for the day. Took the meat out and drained most of the juice, put some Newman's Own Sweet & Spicy BBQ sauce in and stirred.



Got some buns from the store - not processed ones, but buns they cooked there - and that was dinner. It was amazing and made enough that it's going to be dinner for two more nights at least. Good stuff.

The difference from my usual recipe is that I put the meat back into the crock pot to cook some more after shredding. It made the meat a lot juicier in the end.
