so the trailer dropped?

I confess I'm not a fan of that title, but star wars titles never matter.

The premeired it at Celebration. Not sure if it's online anywhere yet, though. It's a FANTASTIC trailer. It doesn't give much away. Great visuals. Hints at larger concepts/story but leaves a lot of blanks, too. There is somewhere to go with a second trailer.

They nailed it.

Okay, that's a great great trailer. I had a huge grin on my face the whole time. Loved seeing Lando - the opening showdown was great, can't wait.

Now I'm excited! Plus I can focus on this and stay away from Endgame spoilers

I'm actually kinda excited for it. Nice trailer. If no one's ever really gone is a theme, who knows who will be in this. Vader?

Not sure about that emperor tag at the end, but we'll see how it's executed. I feel like there should be evil force ghosts, and it would be cool to see him as the devil guiding Kylo.

Daisey Ridley nails that first scene in the trailer - such wonderful steely confidence. What a bad ass moment

Well that sure does sound like Palpatine laughing at the end there....

That Emperor laughs open the door for everyone! Palpatine, Vader, Amigdala, Kenobi, you name it.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

So I wonder if the idea is that Skywalker becomes the new Jedi, moving away from a series of people to an ideal. It would fit thematically with the storytelling in Force Awakens and Last Jedi

Thank God Colin Treverow isn't directing this

The shot of Rey flipping up over Kylo's tiefighter with the music swelling was terrific (and something we haven't really seen before either)

I'll be real, I'm not super in love with the idea of Palpatine coming back. At least, I don't like it on paper. There are certainly ways to make it work and I'm going to trust that JJ will pull it off with aplomb.

The hardest pill for me to swallow will be an "evil" Force Ghost. I hate that idea and it kinda flies in the face of everything they've set up from the beginning and George's original idea/intention how the light and dark sides work.

Again, we'll see how they handle it. I'm still super excited!
