Great trailer, got the old Star Wars chills again for the first time in forever. Can't wait for December.

Plus, now that opens up the fact that Rey IS probably a Skywalker. The one thing I really liked about TLJ was that Rey ended up being a "nobody" as far as her parents.

I like her being "nobody" too. And I don't think this at all confirms that the idea is being retconned. I think those lines at the beginning and the title much more strongly imply the idea that the Jedi are gone and a new order is coming and that order or whatever is called Skywalker.

It could go that way, but I see other possibilities as well.

this will be a tough sell. I can imagine it working, but wasn't thrilled to see that show up

Oh totally! Tons of options. Again, that's why I like the title so much. It could mean so many things. The trailer gave us so much to think about and anticipate without giving anything real away.

Daisy is a treasure, but nothing about this movie yet looks all that appealing. Maybe that will change as more is revealed.

Did you like the Last Jedi? I don't recall.

It was like a very uneven truck stop omelet. Some bites were exquisite, and some were mostly cheese.

Probably the Death Star from RotJ. That would held explain Palpatine.

It might be less of a problem with more of the story known. This trailer was almost exclusively just a bunch of “look at character x have an emotion” blips. I don’t know what it said, besides “REMEMBER STAR WARS?”
