Im a fan, not sure how a flash movie would go, but maybe they could do another combo movie with flash and someone else before JL

Well, if it's true that Affleck has signed on for 13 films, it seems pretty likely that he'll end up in a Flash movie as well.

He just doesn't have the kind of face or personality I'd ever think would be capable of handling the character of Bruce Wayne. He might be smarmy enough for the Flash, though. They wanted him to direct the Justice League movie, so did he just simply anoint himself as Batman in negotiations? I'm just picturing the little news clips of him on set in costume leading up to the release of the movie. This is bound to be a million different kinds of holy fuckballs bad.
I might be able to get to an E-bow.

I just cant picture it in a way that I will enjoy. Shit ton of CGI, colorful graphics, too much action....

and of course Ben Affleck, ya.
yeah, and MOS needs a strong superman only sequel....it seems a really cheap way to deliver a new Batman movie.

Im just curious as to how these things move forward as they do. How some would justify doing a new batman and tossing into a sueprman film that they have tried to reboot multiple times over the past 5-6 years.

The Dark Knight was so successful but it was also GREAT. Not just a smashing comic movie, it was a fairly critically acclaimed film trilogy. So... leave it the fuck alone for a few years.

if they aren't going too dark and brooding with this (I haven't seen man of steel) and make it more comic booky and less of a character study I don't think coming on the heels of the nolan films is necessarily a problem. It just needs to go in a different direction, and needs to treat batman as an established character we all know, rather than someone we get to know. Then people will just enjoy having the character on screen and pop the first time he appears in costume

Assuming the move is good, obviously

I don't get why Hollywood keeps trying to cast cuddly douche bags like Affleck and Ryan Reynolds as action heroes(though I could see Reynolds as Flash). Are they gonna cast Chevy Chase as Commissioner Gordon? Those guys are better suited for bad Rom Coms and the occasional inspired comedy. I understand that Affleck has proven himself good at directing Oscar Bait but as an action star I don't really see it. I mean he's tall and he will get all jacked but I'm not sure you want Bruce Wayne to have a face the audience wants to smack. None of the other front runners really got the needle moving for me so I guess it is what it is.

Affleck's success will depend a lot on which direction they're taking Bats in this film. There's a strong possibility that he'll be passable, but I don't think he'll be great. But yeah, I like him better in theory than some of the other names thrown around.

Spacey could have been a brilliant as Luthor. Missed opportunity.

This is so over-the-top...my wife complained about it, and she couldn't pick most celebrities out of a lineup with their names over their head! She doesn't care who's in what role as a precursor to seeing the movie - i.e. even if she likes actor x in a role, that's not a reason to see said actor in another role - so for her to get worked-up about it was kind of funny.

i am probably one of the only folks out there willing to admit that the daredevil movie was actually pretty decent. bullseye's portrayl (i guess more the lack of a costume) and the fight in the park were the only two major disaapointments with a slight nod to the kingpin casting (but who are they going to get of "size" and acting chops? butterbean?

Batman's only job in the movies is to stand around looking constipated while the villains steal the show. I have no doubt Affleck will be fine in this role.

I enjoyed Daredevil much more than any of the spidey movies.

I'm positive that more people would admit the Daredevil movie was good if it was.

what i thought stood out

1) the chronology of the story telling. the ending first
2) the costume for daredevil
3) showing his addiction to pain medication
4) showing his sense
5) storyline actually wasnt too bad. some small liberties but nothing too harsh

what i thought was bad

1) colin
2) his costume
3) the aforementioned playground fight

I pretty much agree about what sort of worked. It started fairly strong; I wanted more sensory stuff, and more gothic church / religion aspects, as well as just a dirtier, grittier Hell's Kitchen. The "comic" fight in the park and various other cheesy elements pulled me out of the film. And the script... it really wasn't good in several places. Probably serviceable, just not good. Thing is, so many of the comics are so well written. Basically I'm so gay for Daredevil there were too many disappointments.

It was basically a decent enough intro to DD, but very little more.
