Im about 3 episodes into the second half of 5b and I agree with this. The plot is pretty awful and not worth following, but there are some character moments and jokes that work. Primarily with Michael and GOB.

Watched the last episodes over the weekend. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting but I'd be okay if this was it. The plotlines were convoluting and increasingly ridiculous and the dubbing was annoying but the cast is still terrific and the Bluth brothers and Cera do play together very well in particular and elevated the material.
