I don't know either way, and that's the point. Trump is able to claim a big win here because rumors and speculation drove the collusion narrative for nearly two years and his team can leverage that to cast doubt onto the obstruction case. IMHO, every time the media does something like the tweet above and levies these... indirect implications (for lack of a better phrase), they are just proving Trump right that they cannot be trusted. Ensuring Trump does not get reelected is important and the key element of that is getting voters to defect from his camp by using facts, not salacious innuendo designed to drive ad revenue that he can use to reenforce his vast leftwing conspiracy line.

If there is a “winner” in all this it is the media. After suffering claims of “fake news” and “enemy of the people” for three years, the most striking thing about the Mueller report is that we already knew almost all of it. Time and time again the White House called their trustworthiness into question over reports we can now definitively say they knew were true. The report is a 400 page list of things that media got right.

Conservative messaging “news,” on the other hand, spent years humoring Seth Rich conspiracy claims that the report reveals were knowingly false at the moment they landed.

IMHO, every time the media does something like the tweet above and levies these... indirect implications (for lack of a better phrase), they are just proving Trump right that they cannot be trusted.

When you say “the media levies indirect implications, and in doing so they prove trump right,” are you referring to the factually correct CNN summary of what’s in the report, or to the t-shirt-selling social media entity linked to here by a semi-coherent Silver Irish Fox?

I’m not particularly optimistic about it either, but I think there is an opportunity for candidates willing to reach out to trump voters to bring them back into the world of the sane. That starts with dropping the attitude towards them and the ‘trump is Putin’s bitch’ bullshit and focusing on the facts of how unfit for office trump is. It can’t be both.
