I would never survive a pile-on if I ever hit a game winner. I would have a panic attack from being on the bottom of that pile and probably die. Good thing I don't have to worry about that.

All that pressure on you would probably also cause you to pee for the first time in like 3 weeks.E.H. Ruddock wrote:I would never survive a pile-on if I ever hit a game winner. I don't know if I woke my wife up but I also emitted a loud noise when he hit the shot.

Re: NBA Thread
Can we talk about how Westbrook basically cost the Thunder their 15 point lead?

He did, but was also the only Thunder player to score in the final four minutes (4 points).verb_to_trust wrote:Playoff P bricked two free throws and committed a bad turnover late.

Re: NBA Thread
In retrospect that was not a good shot to take given the situation. But it’s also clearly the shot he wanted. Wow just wow.

By all rational thought, yes. But Dame shot 8 of 12 from 30 feet & deeper this series. Paul George is a sore loser & a fool.Bammer wrote:In retrospect that was not a good shot to take given the situation. But it’s also clearly the shot he wanted. Wow just wow.
Portland didn’t get much sleep last night, y’all. Unforgettable night. Go Blazers.

It was also a tied game, so he was playing with house money given his proficiency at those shots. I've seen worse game winners from much worse shooters.Bammer wrote:In retrospect that was not a good shot to take given the situation. But it’s also clearly the shot he wanted. Wow just wow.

Absolutely. Worst case they go to OT at home. And he's a cold blooded killer with insane range anyway, so that helps too.Monkey_Driven wrote:It was also a tied game, so he was playing with house money given his proficiency at those shots. I don't agree at all with people (especially Playoff P) saying it was a bad shot.

It's an insane shot, not a bad shot when it's taken by a player who is currently playing at an insane level.
Cool to see his brother run from his courtside seat to participate in the celebration too.

Re: NBA Thread
The only bad shot as the home team tied is not getting a shot off at all or someone other than your 1 or 2 scoring option taking it.

I don't even think I'm going to bother watching tonight. Both of these games should be easy wins for the favorite and nobody us going to match Dames greatness.

Re: NBA Thread
You're probably right. Can usually tell within the first few minutes if the Warriors are playing hard that night. If they do, it should be an easy 15+ win.verb_to_trust wrote:I don't even think I'm going to bother watching tonight. The Jazz have seemed to figure out a few things about the Rockets, but it is a road game for them, so Rockets close it out. Something in the 8-15 point win range.
