Re: Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker
The thing I'm maybe most interested in is seeing/learning HOW Snoke is connected to Palpatine in all of this. Because Snoke is a JJ creation, I have to believe he's not going to leave that thread hanging. There has to be a real connection.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker
Another random thought/possibility... what if Palpatine created Rey using the Force as a vessel in which to return. Maybe he figured out a way to use her body as a vehicle to return. Maybe that's why she's so powerful AND why she doesn't actively resist or turn away from the Dark Side.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker
The Thrawn and unknown reaches of it all are related to that id imagine.
Remembering Zahns comments that Thrawn knows what’s out there and sides with the empire cos they’re best able to fight it not knowing that the emperor wants to access or commune with it.
So Palps sends Thrawn out looking for it.
This was relatively recently he said that too. Be mad if Thrawn and Ezra somehow came back into play. But I don’t think we get a full Snoke background onscreen. It’ll be books

I’ve had that same thought. Something inside her now it’s awake.
Luke would have sensed it in her though.
Maybe he did and that’s why wouldn’t train her?

But for a lot of that training he was turned off to the Force. And he does freak the fuck out when she "doesn't even resist" going to the Dark Side. So maybe that counts as "sensing it"?dimejinky99 wrote:durdencommatyler wrote:Another random thought/possibility... what if Palpatine created Rey using the Force as a vessel in which to return. Also. Snoke has mentioned all three titles in the two films so far.
That could just be accidental.
Or is it.

I sense no bad in Rey. Created by Palpatine she can not be.

By the time luke came into the picture, Yoda knew and understand that he was too old and had much fear and anger in him.Anders wrote:Yoda is famous for not seeing the dark side users.Strat wrote:But ultimately he showed up to save the day for her and the resistance. He did also mention Rey by name. That aside he’s in the force and probably knows Rey inside and out.
He said ‘lose the girl Rey, we must not’.
End of that discussion I guess.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker
Right but what exactly does that mean? If he knows Rey was created to be a vessel for the Sith, then OF COURSE he's going to say that. Just because no one talks about it openly doesn't mean they don't know or suspect. It's beyond clear in the films that Rey is connected to the Force in powerful ways and that she has no fear of the dark side, the way others have before her.dimejinky99 wrote:He did also mention Rey by name. Yoda's totally right. They must not lose her. But why exactly? What's the full extent of the cost of losing her?
