The predictability of this image makes me worried that this won't be as thematically consistent as I wanted it to be. That was an issue with Backspacer; there were tracks that didn't belong.

if only I hadn't already gotten married...
You can always get divorced and remarry your wife immediately afterwards.

Play her The End (or Fuck me in the brain), divorce her, then play her Just Breathe and get r-married, then you both can get the FD tattoo and play that at your wedding!

I played the live version of this to my fiancé - she wants it played at our wedding. At least it's not Bruno Mars

Sir, you are wasting your life if you are anything other than a divorce/re-wedding planner. I got misty eyed just reading this.

and you could be right harmless, this could just be a mismatch of songs without a larger unifying theme--but maybe it'll be that love is important because it gives you a stake in the world--something to ground you in it and make you care about it. That is an important part of backspacer, I think.

It might not have that, of course. We can't do anything but guess given what we have so far, but it's a possibility.

Well, that's true. You're right. Although on Betterman, I really like how the creepy off-key intro / fade in kind of ties it with the rest of the album, sonically. They haven't done that with any outlier track since, I don't think. These days they just stick it on there and hope it'll work. Vitalogy really shows some thought as to how the 'poppy' song will sound right in context. A similar hope for LB seems slightly out of my reach at this point.

It would be better if it were Stickman and Stickwoman.

They never said anything about releasing the tracks in order.

That's kinda creepy actually. Weird veiny tree people and there's a 3rd face in there if you want there to be, watching and smiling.
