i have no idea who Poe is

Recording artist. Only released 2 albums before getting FUCKED by the industry and kind of disappearing. Her second album, Haunted, is a sort of companion piece to her brother's book. House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski (one of the most phenomenal books I've ever read).

Basically, their father passed away, leaving behind a ton of lectures on tape. Poe channeled all of that into an album called Haunted. Her brother channeled it into a book called House of Leaves. They share themes and ideas but only just.

Her first record, called Hello, was released five years earlier in 1995. It has the hit single "Angry Johnny" on it. Both albums are stellar. But her second work is a masterpiece. It's a concept record that pays infinite dividends. I highly recommend it. It's a perfect piece of art.

Though, since you and I are diametrically opposed in our tastes, you'll probably hate it. So... never mind. Don't listen to it.
