I'm thinking back a long ways now, but wasn't Amongst the Waves the one song you were bummed about the drumming on when you did that fantastic drummer review of backspacer? I am thinking of FoN?

I could have sworn I'd replied to this. No, my criticism was the drumming intro to FoN. I was really complimentary of the drumming for ATW. The chorus had an R&B / reggae-loose groove that made it different to the RAWKtastic anthem people wished it was.

i like this a lot more. A lot layers to pick apart. Quite a bit potentially going on for such a stylized, seemingly simplistic piece

Yup. And, well, I'm choosing to hope that the tracks themselves are just as interesting, even if they still have one foot in the "pop" door.

I don't care about baseball, so not that. But I don't care about playing cards either, and I still want a pack of playing cards with these images on the back. Or better yet, Tarot cards.
