It’s not really about that.
We’d jhst gotten over the endless shitstorm from the trolls and everyone was feeling pretty good and on the same side after celebration and the new trailer.
He goes and does this and go check Rian Johnson’s mentions right now.
Nothing but abusive messages. All over again.

Hamill clearly wants out of the press tour for IX would be my guess. And they’ll drop him for this I’d bet as he’s only going to be asked about this not the movie.

Unless he’s actually dropping a huge hint that there is gonna be a flashback scene like this in the film

The subtitle for the image is literally "what should have been". I do wonder what kind of bridge he just burned there.

He said on one talk show last week ‘what are they gonna do, Fire me?’

Something up behind the scenes I’d say

It’s clear he has been feelng this way for a long time. I think he was a little sad about not being more involved in TFA, and then his character and role was the opposite of what he wanted in TLJ.

It's weird because he's on record in a 1983 interview saying he'd love to come back to play the Kenobi role. Lucas had asked him about it - would he want to come back - around 2011 or so, to play the hermit Jedi, handing the torch to the next generation, and Hamill was thrilled about the idea.

Then that exact thing plays out...and he's mad about it.

Wtf. It’s given you a whole new career at the end of your career. Stfu and enjoy it Mark.

I think he wanted a Kenobi-like role, that’s not what he or I thought he got in TLJ.

He also wanted it for three movies, and says that is what he was promised.

Well he’s a bit long in the tooth to be butthurt about it. As he often says it isnt his character. He just gets to play it again. When he never thought it would actually happen

The horse has long bolted, Mark.

Reads to me like a doubling down on it.

Something up.

I don’t disagree with him. They all should have had at least one scene together (with Chewie and the droids). They could have done something small to please the old school fans. Seeing some of the reunions on GOT confirms this for me. It would have been a nice touch as long as they didn’t go over the top with it.

Bringing Star Wars back was enough for me personally.

You don’t make a good film or a billion dollars or build a franchise going forward with a cast of geriatrics limping around, who the majority of the audience don’t know.

If they had given them even one scene all together, these same people and these same outlets publishing the click bait bullshit would be screaming ‘fanservice!!’

They’re already doing it cos Lando and Palpatine are in the trailer.

You cannot please these people no matter what.
