No, it just links to the album. FD isn't listed on the tracklist. Do we have any indication that they're doing this in order?
'we've been assuming that. I forget why. If you check the first few pages of the artwork thread it would be there

I guess we'll only know how much it 'speaks' when we have the songs. Until then we're only responding to the style. I love the consistent black / red / grey / white colour scheme, and I like the dark moody style set against little touches of humour. Stylistically I prefer it to the Backspacer artwork, which I found far too bright and garish in the context of PJ's past artwork. This stuff suits the "canon" more, imo.
I'll be completely honest. When the artwork for Backspacer came out, I had no problem with it (and honestly, I still don't...it's the music itself I don't care for). It wasn't an avocado, so I felt good about that.
Yeah, I always quite liked the Backspacer artwork (if not much else about the record).

I really dig everything we've seen from the Lightning Bolt art.
you know, I basically spent zero time thinking about the backspacer art, which is surprising, given me.

Disclaimer: i don't have the cd so i haven't actually seen it in real life.
I don't know how Tom Tomorrow comes by his style, but Backspacer looks exactly like a Tom Tomorrow comic.

Tracing is common in comic book art, but generally frowned upon. So even if you don't like it, I guess it was fine that Tom Tomorrow did it.

That its traced isn't really my problem with it, i suspect if i liked the outcome i wouldn't give two shits. I'm not saying its atrocious or anything, just was never drawn to it.

I feel like Future Days is gonna be a shitty album opener. To date, Sometimes is the lowest tempo album opener, and even that wasn't a ballad.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

I really doubt it's the opener.

Maybe it'll be the cheesy calm before the kickass storm that is the rest of the album.

I agree. However, PJ seem to be doing of a lot of the unexpected lately, so I wouldn't put it past them to open the album with something unconventional (for them anyway). Majority of their last few albums started with short, upbeat 'punkish' songs. I have a feeling this album is going to be different in many ways.

I really think a cheesy, short, mellow opener into MYM could work. I would rather have surprising and quirky than downright predictable, and it would be nice if this album wasn't totally front-loaded with fast songs, leaving the rest mid-tempo.

This what I'm hoping for cause I haven't been a fan of the Wrigley version of FD. Who says this is the opening track though? Did I miss something?

This is off topic, but do you think if Backspacer had a different art style we might like it just the tiniest bit better?
