I like that it was basically Cap and Iron Man's movie. Since they were the only characters I care about, this is a good time to jump off the marvel bandwagon. The whole movie universe thing was a fun ride and impressive technical achievement, but I'm over it.

Why was Iron Man so sick/infected at the beginning?

He was starving and dehydrated, and also recovering from some pretty bad injuries from the Thanos fight

Nebula should keep a few granola bars in her ship for guests.

Ah yes, the ripple effect Beast talked about in Days of Future Past.

Same. X men really doesn’t come flosexand would water it all down if they were included.
The funny part, is a lot of us X-men fans, dont want to see the X-men included in the MCU, because we believe Marvel is most likely going to treat them like the B-team.

I do look forward to the day when Onslaught kills the MCU
Yeah, it maybe is that...I dont know. At this point im used to have them separate from these movies. Im sure this will change once we have the first x men movie in the mcu..and looking at Dark Phoenix, im glad its going to happen.

The final battle seems so isolated. Maybe a response to the "disaster porn" critique? Budget issue?
I’m 100% sure it wasn’t budget. The final battle was at the avengers HQ - it was a personal fight with Thanos (and the only major setpiece in the film). The civilian stuff didn’t need to be there. It bookends it

Not to be pernickerty but the one with the big battle in New York felt all kinds of stupid and wrong.
Better off they keep a closed focus on the relevant stuff and not include real world.

I still think the last moment with cap is the best sendoff for a character in a long long time.

Great funeral for Tony Stark. Fuck you, Natasha Romanoff.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Not Natasha - she should have had something, but given her character I don't entirely know that she needed it

I know Tony Stark has a boatload of money and the best babysitters and all but if I was involved in a life or death fight there is zero percent chance my wife would leave my kid at home to fight with me.

Nah, she'd go down with the ship.

Maybe that's why she was so broken up when talking to Happy immediately following her dad's funeral. "I'm good. I'm hungry for cheeseburgers."
