Only The Collector has been on screen, correct? I thought The Elders were slated to serve as villains in a future MCU phase.
And The Grand Master in Thor. He's the Collector's brother.

Which Thor? I thought the first one was horrible and I never had a desire to see the others.

Ragnarok. The best of the series.

you know, this is a grade-A first-world problem, but it's really annoying when I quote a post with a youtube video and it's just the video identifier instead of the entire URL. How is it easier to slice that info out than to just copy and paste the url from the address bar?

also that is SUCH a valley-bro accent. woah.

Unrelated thought:

Gamora and Loki are dead. There are 'alternate' versions of them out and about now and maybe they'll go into that in Phase 4 but for now it seems pretty official that the OG characters are dead. Which means that if we do see them again, it will be new characters without the growth we saw over their respective films - like we saw when Gamora kicked Quayle's ass. Or balls, whatever. It's kind of cool how they have characters grow and change like that in these movies instead of just being one-note characters that just get a new movie instead of a proper sequel.

Speaking of growth, I saw somewhere that basically Ragnarok/Infinity War/Endgame was a mini Hulk movie since they can't make a solo series with him.

Joe Russo did a q&a in China

https://www.reddit.com/r/marvelstudios/ ... s_endgame/

Q: Can you get the soul your sacrificed for the Soul Stone back when you return it?

A: No, the process is irreversible. Even if you have returned it to its original location, you wouldn't be able to get the person back. In fact, it's not really returning the stone, more like put it back properly. The tribute soul for the soul stone will forever be sealed in that place, therefore Black Widow is gone forever.

Q: How did Thanos bring his army to the future?

A: There is a guy called Maw in his army, he was a great wizard. Thanos himself was a brilliant genius as well. Those two easily reverse engineered and mass produced Pym Particles.

Q: What about those people who got dusted? What did those five years mean to them? Why didn't they grow older when undusted?

A: Yes, those people whom was lucky to survive the snap are 5 years older than the people who just got back. The reason Spider Man saw his friend again in high school at the end was simply because his friends was unfortunately also dusted like Spider Man was. Of course, there are people in his grade whom didn't die and they are probably already in colleges by now. To those dusted people, they had no conscious in these past 5 years. They didn't know what happened. It's as if they had just woke up from a long sleep. The only one who was aware about how many years has passed was Doctor Strange, because he has already seen that when he was time mediating on Titan. Parker's reunion with Ned was a touching moment. There are also people whom indeed moved on but suddenly was reunited with their lost ones. Yeah it's kind a complicated world now.

Q: EG's plot, is it a parallel universe or a closed time loop?

A: Nope, not a time loop. Both Ancient One and Hulk were right. You can't change the future by simply going back to past. But it's possible to create a different alternate future. It's not butterfly effect. Every decision you made in the past could potentially create a new timeline. For example, the old Cap at the end movie, he lived his married life in a different universe from the main one. He had to make another jump back to the main universe at the end to give the shield to Sam.

In no universe is rise of Skywalker going to feel so huge and satisfying and climactic.
If they go for the feels it won’t be as big feels as this, if they go for the bittersweet it won’t land like this, they can only go for happy ending. And that’s gonna be lame.

On the lack of an end credits scene.
"It was never in the cards," Joe Russo confirms. "It was called 'Endgame' for a reason. This is it. This is the ending. The book is closed on that chapter of the Marvel universe and a new book will get written." Anthony adds that it was a "great thrill" to not have to worry about what comes next. "This was the first Marvel movie we've done where we weren't thinking about the future."

As for that noise, he says it's "an echo of the past" rather than a tease about someone else suiting up as Iron Man. "It's really just an homage, sort of a little bookend," Joe adds. "It started it and it ends it."
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

I want it to be otherwise. I’d be a regular casual fan of the MCU and nowhere nearly as invested as I am with Star Wars. I just can’t see them finding a way to draw all three trilogies to such a satisfying momentous close as this was. I hope I’m wrong but right now I can’t see it happenning.
